There are two new files (as of 3rd Nov. 2006) on the Research page:
The first is a list of Sheas (and variant surnames) as grantors in deeds housed in the Registry of Deeds, Dublin, Ireland. Some of these deeds have been examined and notes made on the content. Deeds can sometimes provide much genealogical information. Don't forget that if Sheas were grantees, you need to look up a different surname for the grantor. While every effort has been made to be accurate, it is inevitable that errors in reference numbers occur. So, please check the references before ordering deeds from the Registry of deeds, at 12 Euro each.
The second file is a list of flax growers in 1796.
Thanks to Kerrie Shea for sending us the following letter written in 1864 by a Tipperary man, John Shea, to family members, who had emigrated to Australia.
Congratulations to John O'Shea of Bantry - County Mayor of County Cork, Ireland for the year commencing July 2006
